After completing several shooting schedules for Devara, director Koratala Siva and NTR decided to split the film into two parts due to the extensive content and scope involved. The first installment is set to release on September 27th, with Koratala having wrapped up the shooting within a year—a reasonable timeframe considering the significant VFX work required.
In recent interviews, Koratala Siva revealed that two pivotal episodes from the second part of Devara have already been filmed. The team managed to shoot these sequences on the same set, streamlining the process. He expressed confidence that, based on the experience gained from Devara: Part 1, he could complete the filming of Part 2 in about 6-8 months.
Post-release, Koratala plans to sit down with NTR to discuss the shooting schedules for Devara: Part 2. Currently, NTR is busy with War 2 and Prashanth Neel’s project, which may delay the timeline. Koratala also mentioned the possibility of taking on another project if NTR needs more time for the sequel.
Devara: Part 1 features a stellar cast, including Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, and Saif Ali Khan, alongside NTR, who portrays both a father and son in this ambitious narrative.
