Tamil star Dhanush and Telugu director Shekar Kammula’s much-anticipated collaboration, Kubera, is generating significant buzz as it approaches the final stages of shooting. Scheduled for release in February 2025, the film is shaping up to be Dhanush’s most expensive project to date.
Initially planned with a budget of ₹90 crore, the production costs reportedly escalated to ₹120 crore, making it one of the costliest films in Tollywood. While producer Sunil Narang refrained from revealing the exact figures, he confirmed that Kubera marks a major milestone in Dhanush’s career. In a recent interview, Narang praised both Dhanush’s dedication and Nagarjuna’s impressive performance, noting that the latter plays an almost full-length role in the film.
The producer expressed confidence in the film’s success, emphasizing its universal appeal and strategic investment in its grand scale. Adding to the excitement, Rashmika Mandanna will appear in a fresh and unique avatar, further enhancing the film’s appeal.
With high expectations surrounding this lavish production, Kubera promises to be a cinematic spectacle for audiences across languages.
