The derogatory comments made by Telangana Congress Minister Konda Surekha about Samantha and her divorce from Naga Chaitanya have sparked widespread backlash from Tollywood celebrities, who are rallying in support of Samantha.
Prominent figures like Chiranjeevi, Jr. NTR, and Allu Arjun have criticized the minister’s remarks, with Mahesh Babu being the latest to voice his disapproval. He expressed his feelings on X, stating, “I am extremely pained by the comments made by Minister Konda Surekha garu regarding fellow members of our film fraternity. As a father, a husband, and a son, I am deeply troubled by the unacceptable language used by a woman minister toward another woman.”
Mahesh Babu continued, “While freedom of speech is important, it should never come at the cost of hurting others’ sentiments. I strongly condemn these cheap and baseless remarks and urge those in the public eye to stop making the film industry a soft target. Women in our country and our film fraternity deserve the utmost respect and dignity.”
Numerous artists have joined the call for a public apology from the minister. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
