Mammootty’s “Turbo” Achieves Strong Box Office Numbers Despite Mixed Reviews

Mollywood megastar Mammootty achieved a super hit with his experimental horror thriller “Bramayugam,” which grossed about 60 crores despite lacking commercial elements. Now, he returns with the action thriller “Turbo.” Unlike “Bramayugam,” “Turbo” did not receive unanimous positive reviews.

However, the mixed reviews did not hinder the movie’s box office success. So far, “Turbo” has grossed about 57 crores worldwide and is on track to surpass “Bramayugam.” Although the chances of reaching the 100 crore mark are now slim, the movie’s performance remains impressive.

Directed by Vysakh, “Turbo” features popular Kannada artist Raj B Shetty as the antagonist, with Telugu comedian Sunil playing a key role. The film also stars Anjana Jayaprakash, Sabareesh Varma, Dileesh Pothan, and Bindu Panicker in crucial roles.
