Ajay Bhupathi’s “Mangalvaaram,” featuring Payal Rajput in the lead, has left a lasting impression with its digital and television premieres after facing underwhelming theatrical performance. Despite high expectations upon its theatrical release, the pan-India thriller failed to meet box office projections.

Initially hitting screens on November 17th, the film, backed by producers Swathi Reddy Gunupati and Suresh Varma, relied heavily on Bhupathi’s storytelling prowess and the immersive world he crafted. While receiving generally positive reviews, insufficient promotional efforts contributed to tepid audience engagement during the initial release period.

The concurrent World Cup tournament at the time is believed to have significantly impacted “Mangalavaaram’s” theatrical run. However, the film found redemption through strong digital viewership, particularly on Disney+ Hotstar, and garnered impressive TRP ratings during its television premiere. Notably, it achieved a rating of 7.21 TRP in Urban markets and 6.51 TRP in U+R markets.
