Directed by Chidambaram and inspired by real-life events, Manjummel Boys has etched its name in the annals of Malayalam cinema history by crossing the 200 crores gross mark at the box office. Now, poised for its Telugu debut this Saturday, courtesy of Mythri Movie Makers, the film promises an enthralling experience to a wider audience.
At the pre-release event, Mythri Shashidhar Reddy disclosed plans for an expansive release across 300 screens in Telugu states, emphasizing that Manjummel Boys would not be treated merely as a dubbed film. Despite stiff competition from other releases like Family Star and Tillu Square, the film’s monumental release reflects confidence in its potential.
Shashidhar Reddy, along with fellow Mythri producers Naveen and Ravi Shankar, expressed their admiration for the Malayalam original, having watched it upon its release. Their decision to present it to Telugu audiences underscores the film’s universal appeal. Notably, Manjummel Boys marks the first instance of a Malayalam film hosting paid premiers in Telugu states.
Featuring a stellar cast including Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Basi, Balu Varghese, Ganapati S Poduval, Jean Paul Lal, Deepak Parambol, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, and Arjun Kurian, the movie is produced by Babu Shahir, Soubin Shahir, and Shawn Antony under the Parava Films banner.
