The survival thriller “Manjummel Boys” has stormed the Mollywood industry, grossing over Rs. 230 crores and becoming an unprecedented hit. Its remarkable theatrical run has left trade experts astonished, even emerging as the highest-grossing Malayalam film in Tamil Nadu. Based on a true story from 2006, the movie depicts the heroic efforts of young men from Manjummel as they rescue their trapped friend from Kodaikanal’s Guna cave.
Now, audiences can experience the gripping tale on Disney Plus Hotstar, available in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada, complete with English subtitles. The gap between its theatrical and OTT release is just 74 days, reflecting the immense anticipation for its digital debut. Notably, the Telugu dubbed version has also seen considerable success.
Helmed by director Chidambaram, the film features a stellar cast including Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Basi, Balu Varghese, Ganapati S Poduval, Jean Paul Lal, Deepak Parambol, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, and Arjun Kurian in pivotal roles.
