Mrunal Thakur recently found herself in an unexpected interaction with a fan who posted an edited Diwali video featuring her. Initially, Mrunal commented on the video, urging the fan to stop, saying, “Bhai, kyu jhooti tassali de raha hain aap apne aap ko? Apko lagta hai yeh cool hai? Ji nahi” (Brother, why are you giving yourself false satisfaction? Do you think this is cool? No, it’s not). This comment was soon deleted, but it sparked a conversation among fans.
Shortly after, Mrunal softened her stance and even shared the video on her Instagram Stories, wishing the fan well and commenting, “Hope you edit good films one day! Good Luck and Happy Diwali.” In a follow-up Story, she explained her initial reaction, revealing her disappointment when she saw that the fan had created similar videos with various other actors, which “broke her heart.” She clarified that while she initially found it amusing, the realization dampened her mood.
Despite her initial disappointment, she wished the fan well, acknowledging his talent, and asked followers to avoid negativity towards him. She added, “I really love his editing skills and pray he uses his art positively.”
On the professional front, Mrunal will be seen next with Ajay Devgn in the Son of Sardaar sequel, directed by Vijay Kumar Arora. She also has an upcoming comedy project with Varun Dhawan under David Dhawan’s direction, and Pooja Meri Jaan, where she stars alongside Huma Qureshi.
