The Telugu dubbed version of Mufasa: The Lion King has struck gold in the Telugu states, grossing an impressive ₹10 crore in just four days. Known for its massive global following, the film has found one of its strongest markets in the Telugu-speaking regions of India.
The film’s sequel appeal and the addition of Mahesh Babu’s voiceover for the character Mufasa have significantly contributed to its success. With Christmas and New Year holidays around the corner, the film is expected to rake in even higher numbers, bringing cheer to Mahesh Babu fans who are thrilled with its performance.
Produced by Walt Disney Studios, this Hollywood musical drama is directed by Barry Jenkins. Along with Mahesh Babu lending his voice to Mufasa, Satyadev has dubbed for Taka/Scar, while Ali, Brahmanandam, Shaking Sheshu, and Ayyappa P. Sharma have provided voiceovers for other pivotal characters.
Interestingly, in the Hindi version of the film, Shah Rukh Khan lent his voice for Mufasa, adding another layer of excitement for Indian audiences across regions.
