Naga Chaitanya Asks Sobhita Dhulipala to Speak in Telugu: Just Hearing That Same Texture…

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala tied the knot on December 4 at the iconic Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, surrounded by close family and friends. In a recent interview with The New York Times, Chaitanya shared how their relationship blossomed and what drew him to Sobhita. He explained how their shared connection with the Telugu language played a role in bringing them closer, revealing that he often asks Sobhita to converse with him in Telugu so he can improve his skills.

Although Naga Chaitanya was born in Hyderabad, he spent much of his childhood in Chennai and grew up speaking Tamil. His mother tongue is Telugu, and during the interview, he said, “In our industry, we meet a variety of people from different languages. Just hearing that same texture [of Telugu] and having that same warmth when you speak to someone—I think it just drew me closer so much faster.” He further expressed his fondness for the authenticity that Sobhita brings into their relationship, emphasizing how real and organic interactions between people feel much more meaningful.

The couple’s wedding was a beautiful reflection of Telugu culture and traditions, with rituals performed under the guidance of elders. For her wedding, Sobhita wore a stunning gold Kanjivaram silk saree with real gold zari, paying homage to her cultural heritage. Chaitanya looked dashing in a traditional white outfit. On December 6, the newlyweds made their first public appearance as husband and wife at the Srisailam temple in Andhra Pradesh.

Chaitanya had previously been married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. They announced their separation in October 2021 via a joint social media statement.
