Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala, two of the most beloved actors in Indian cinema, have tied the knot in a grand wedding ceremony held at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad, on December 4. Their love story, which began on Instagram, captured the hearts of fans as the couple maintained a low profile about their relationship.
According to Naga Chaitanya, in an interview with The New York Times, the duo initially connected via Instagram. “I’m not a big fan of texting. I’m not a fan of communicating on social media,” Naga revealed. Just weeks after their first conversation, Naga flew to Mumbai for a lunch date with Sobhita at Pali Village Cafe, marking the beginning of their love story.
A Wedding to Remember
The intimate wedding ceremony was attended by close friends, family members, and industry well-wishers. The couple’s first public appearance as newlyweds was at the Srisailam temple in Andhra Pradesh, where they sought divine blessings.
Nagarjuna Akkineni, Naga Chaitanya’s father, shared heartwarming pictures from the wedding on his X (formerly Twitter) account. “Watching Sobhita and Chay begin this beautiful chapter together has been a special and emotional moment for me. Congratulations to my beloved Chay, and welcome to the family dear Sobhita — you’ve already brought so much happiness into our lives,” Nagarjuna wrote, expressing his joy and pride.
Past Relationships and Future Projects
Before this, Naga Chaitanya was married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. However, the couple decided to part ways after four years of marriage, which was widely discussed in the media.
On the work front, Naga Chaitanya is gearing up for his next big project, Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, where he will share the screen with Sai Pallavi. Meanwhile, Sobhita Dhulipala was last seen in the romantic drama Love, Sitara.
This new beginning for Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala has been met with an outpouring of love and support from fans and well-wishers. Their love story, marked by simplicity and sincerity, has inspired many, and their grand wedding has only added to the magic.
