In a recent interview, producer Naga Vamsi addressed the competition for the upcoming Sankranthi season, stating that there wouldn’t be massive competition, which is why NBK109 is moving ahead with its release. However, some fans felt that his remarks were a slight towards Ram Charan and Shankar’s high-budget film Game Changer.
Clarifying his statement in another interview, Naga Vamsi explained, “The interviewer mentioned there would be about six releases this Sankranthi. I knew that wasn’t the case, and in that context, I said the competition isn’t huge. As far as I know, there will only be three major releases. Unfortunately, my words were twisted, and some on social media claimed I belittled Game Changer and suggested it wasn’t a big threat to us.”
He continued, “The interviewer clearly mentioned six releases, to which I responded based on my knowledge of the industry’s current developments. These fan wars and baseless narratives never seem to end. Despite efforts to reduce the toxicity, it keeps resurfacing. They don’t seem to have any sense.”
Naga Vamsi further added, “There will be a gap between Game Changer and NBK109. The release date will be decided by Balakrishna Garu, and we will make a formal announcement accordingly. Game Changer is set to release around the same time as Vishwambhara. We are unsure if Venkatesh Garu’s film will be releasing for Sankranthi
