Naveen Polishetty, born on December 26, 1990, is an Indian actor and screenwriter predominantly active in Telugu cinema. He made his debut in the film industry with “Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya” in 2019. The same year, he ventured into Hindi cinema with the coming-of-age blockbuster “Chhichhore.” Following this, Naveen starred in the comedy film “Jathi Ratnalu” (2021) and the romantic comedy “Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty” (2023).

Naveen Polishetty was born into a middle-class family in Hyderabad, India. He graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (NIT Bhopal). After moving to England to work as an engineer, he decided to return to India to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. Since his parents opposed this career choice, he didn’t inform them of his return and rented a house in Mumbai. There, he took on part-time jobs to support himself while pursuing a full-time acting career, working in theatre and performing in plays.

He then made his Hindi cinema debut in Nitesh Tiwari’s “Chhichhore,” playing the character Acid. “Chhichhore” grossed ₹150 crore globally and earned Polishetty a Zee Cine Awards nomination for Best Actor in a Comic Role.

In 2021, he starred in the blockbuster comedy film “Jathi Ratnalu,” which grossed ₹70 crore at the box office. For his portrayal of Jogipet Srikanth, he won the Best Actor award at the prestigious SIIMA Awards. Polishetty followed this success with the hit romantic comedy “Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty,” co-starring Anushka Shetty, where he played a stand-up comedian. Released in September 2023, the film grossed over 50 crores worldwide. Polishetty has achieved the rare feat of delivering four consecutive blockbuster films across the Telugu and Hindi film industries.

He had suffered multiple fractures in his right hand and sustained injuries to his leg. While not specifying the cause, Naveen Polishetty assured fans that he is currently undergoing treatment.
