Nayanthara’s Hibiscus Tea Promotion Sparks Controversy

Nayanthara, a famous actress, recently promoted hibiscus tea on her social media, claiming it can help with diseases like diabetes and acne. She shared an Instagram post highlighting the health benefits of the tea, citing health expert Munmun Ganeriwal. However, Dr. Cyriac Abby Phillips, known as the ‘Liver Doctor’, publicly criticized her for spreading misinformation and pointed out the lack of scientific evidence supporting her claims. He urged her to avoid misleading people about health matters. Following the criticism, Nayanthara deleted the post and posted a cryptic quote on her Instagram story, referencing Mark Twain: “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” This response has sparked further online discussions.
