Streaming giant Netflix has announced a documentary celebrating the pride of Telugu cinema, SS Rajamouli, marking a significant moment for Tollywood enthusiasts. Titled “Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli,” this docu-film is set to premiere on August 2nd, offering viewers an insightful journey into how Rajamouli has reshaped Indian cinema and left a lasting impact on the global stage.
According to reports from Hollywood media sources, the documentary will feature perspectives on the Baahubali director from luminaries such as James Cameron, Joe Russo, Karan Johar, Prabhas, Jr NTR, Ram Charan, and Rana Daggubati. While “Baahubali” catapulted him to the forefront of Indian directors, it was the grand multi-starrer “RRR” that cemented his status as a household name internationally.
Netflix has partnered with Applause Entertainment and Film Companion Studios to produce this 74-minute docu-film, curated by renowned critic Anupama Chopra. It promises exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes glimpses, capturing Rajamouli’s remarkable journey. With plans to expand his influence in the overseas market with an upcoming project featuring Mahesh Babu, this documentary is poised to further elevate Rajamouli’s global stature.
