Tragedy has struck the film industry as renowned Mollywood editor Nishad Yusuf was found dead in his apartment in Panampally Nagar, Kochi. The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) confirmed the heartbreaking news, leaving fans and colleagues stunned.
Hailing from Harippad, the 43-year-old editor was celebrated for his innovative work, especially on Thallumaala, which earned him the Kerala State Award. Beyond Malayalam cinema, Nishad Yusuf made his mark in Tamil cinema as well; his last completed project, Kanguva, starring Suriya, is set for release on November 14, 2024. He had also signed on for Suriya’s upcoming 45th film.
Nishad’s notable works include Unda, One, Saudi Vellakka, and Adios Amigos. His untimely death has left an immense void in the industry, with colleagues grieving the loss of an exceptionally skilled technician. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his passing. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans. May he rest in peace.
