The advance bookings for NTR’s highly anticipated action drama Devara have been nothing short of phenomenal, with pre-sales already reaching an impressive ₹75 crore. As the film’s global release approaches, this number is expected to soar even higher. Following current trends, NTR is on track to achieve his first solo ₹100 crore opening day at the box office.
The Telugu version has contributed significantly to the pre-sales success, while the Hindi version saw a delayed start, with multiplex chains only opening bookings a day before the film’s premieres. This has led to some dissatisfaction among NTR’s fans, who believe the Hindi version’s numbers could have been much higher. Trade analysts predict that despite the late start, Devara’s Hindi version could open with a ₹10–12 crore nett collection. Fans speculate the film might have achieved a ₹25 crore opener had the bookings begun earlier alongside the Telugu version.
Ironically, the film’s nationwide promotions kicked off in Mumbai with several high-profile events, making the late advance booking in Hindi-speaking regions more surprising.
Devara, directed by Koratala Siva, stars NTR alongside Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. The film’s production is helmed by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Mikkilineni Sudhakar, and Kosaraju Hari Krishna, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, whose chart-topping soundtrack has added to the film’s hype
