Tollywood star NTR’s highly anticipated pan-India action drama Devara hit cinemas yesterday, following record-breaking pre-sales. The film received overwhelmingly positive reviews from both fans and critics, and this enthusiasm was clearly reflected in its impressive first-day box office numbers worldwide.
This morning, the makers of Devara announced on social media that the film, directed by Koratala Siva, grossed a staggering Rs. 172 crore at the global box office on day one. NTR has made history by shattering several non-RRR opening day records, both in India and internationally. In North America alone, Devara grossed nearly $3.40 million on its opening day.
In Andhra Pradesh, Nizam, and Ceeded regions, Devara collected an outstanding Rs. 54.21 crore share (excluding GST) on day one. This historic opening is second only to Rajamouli’s RRR, which also starred NTR. Meanwhile, the Hindi version of Devara amassed over Rs. 7.50 crore across the country on its first day.
Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor play pivotal roles in Devara, which is produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Mikkilineni Sudhakar, and Kosaraju Hari Krishna. Anirudh Ravichander’s electrifying soundtrack is one of the standout elements of this high-budget blockbuster. Stay tuned for more updates on Devara‘s box office performance.
