Kushi stands out as one of the most memorable films in Pawan Kalyan’s career. Directed by SJ Suryah, this romantic drama became a fan favorite and a box office blockbuster. Although SJ Suryah later directed Komuram Puli with Pawan Kalyan, it didn’t live up to expectations. However, many might not know that SJ Suryah had written another script specifically for Pawan Kalyan.
During the promotions of Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, SJ Suryah shared this interesting tidbit. The director-actor said, “I once penned a script that never made it to production. I wrote it in Telugu, and that’s when I learned the language. It was exclusively for Pawan Kalyan sir after Kushi, and it was another love story in the same style.”
He continued, “Pawan sir liked the script, but he was busy with other projects. Two years passed, and when I revisited the script to revive it, Pawan Kalyan Garu said he was no longer interested in doing love stories. He felt he wouldn’t fit the role of a lover boy anymore and had different goals. If Pawan Garu had done that film, it would have been wonderful.”
