Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has praised Karnataka Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre for his dedication to environmental and forest conservation. During a recent meeting with forest authorities, Pawan Kalyan made some provocative remarks that have quickly gained traction on social media.
Pawan Kalyan remarked, “Cultural values have changed significantly over the years. Forty years ago, a hero was someone who protected forests. Today, heroes are often portrayed as those who destroy them and engage in smuggling. Dr. Rajkumar Garu’s film Gandhada Gudi focused on forest conservation. Being part of cinema, I find it troubling to be involved in projects that glorify smugglers as heroes.”
He further noted, “I often question whether I am sending the right message to the public. Cinema is one thing, but the cultural shift is a more intriguing issue.” Although Pawan Kalyan did not name any specific individuals, his comments have sparked considerable debate among netizens. Some interpret his statements as a general critique, while others speculate that he may have been making a veiled reference to certain film personalities.
