Pawan Kalyan has temporarily stepped away from his film career to concentrate fully on Andhra Pradesh politics. His party, Janasena, is gearing up for a significant impact in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Despite his political commitments, the top actor is set to resume filming “OG,” a stylish action entertainer directed by Sujeeth. Pawan Kalyan will prioritize completing the shoot, but the film might not release this year.
The digital and satellite deals for “OG” are still pending. Digital platforms are eager to acquire the film for a substantial price but with a condition: due to their packed schedules, they are suggesting a 2025 theatrical release. This delay is crucial for budget recovery, pushing the makers to consider a 2025 release instead of the planned date.
Adding to the speculation, S. Naga Vamsi, a close associate of Pawan Kalyan, announced his next film “Lucky Bhaskar” for release on September 27th, which was originally the release date for “OG.” This further confirms that “OG” will not hit the screens this year. The film stars Priyanka Arul Mohan as the leading lady, with music composed by Thaman. DVV Entertainment is producing this big-budget project.
