Pirated Version of ‘Thandel’ Screened in APSRTC Bus; High-Level Enquiry Ordered

Hyderabad: Just two days after its theatrical release, a high-quality pirated version of Thandel, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, was illegally streamed on an APSRTC bus in Andhra Pradesh, triggering strong reactions from the film’s producers.

Bunny Vas Demands Action Against Piracy

Responding to the incident, producer Bunny Vas urged APSRTC Chairman K. Narayana Rao to take strict action against those responsible. Addressing the media in a press conference, he also called on the government to implement tougher measures to curb film piracy.

Taking the issue seriously, APSRTC Chairman K. Narayana Rao has ordered a high-level inquiry into how the pirated version of Thandel was screened on a corporation bus.

Warning to Pirates and Viewers

Bunny Vas issued a stern warning, stating that legal action will be taken against anyone hosting, telecasting, or even watching the pirated version of Thandel. He urged Akkineni fans and movie lovers to report any instances of piracy by recording a video and sending it to 9573225069.

“I will ensure that those involved are sent to jail. All I need is video evidence,” he declared.

Piracy: A Growing Threat in the Film Industry

Film piracy continues to be a major challenge for the industry. Just last month, a local TV channel owner in Andhra Pradesh was arrested for illegally broadcasting a pirated version of Game Changer.

With growing concerns over piracy, industry leaders are pushing for stricter enforcement to protect filmmakers, actors, and the cinema experience.
