Postponed Wedding of Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita

After divorcing Samantha, Akkineni Naga Chaitanya, son of King Akkineni Nagarjuna and known as the “Young Samrat,” spent some time single. Since 2022, he has reportedly been in a relationship with Telugu actress Sobhita Dhulipala, known for her work in Bollywood. Pictures of the two attending parties and spending time together surfaced on social media, sparking rumors of their relationship. These rumors were confirmed when Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita had an intimate engagement ceremony with family members at Nagarjuna’s residence on August 8. While no wedding date was announced at the time, December 4 was later considered for the marriage.

Recently, Sobhita shared photos from her pasupu (pre-wedding turmeric) ceremony, leading many to believe that the wedding would take place soon. News circulated that Nagarjuna planned to host the grand wedding on December 4 at Annapurna Studios on its 22-acre property, with preparations underway. However, it now appears that the wedding has been postponed. Although reasons are unclear, sources say the delay is due to family concerns.

Reports also mention that Nagarjuna recently consulted an astrologer. Allegedly, on the day of Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita’s engagement, astrologer Venu Swami predicted they would separate in 2027. The astrologer Nagarjuna consulted recently reportedly shared a similar warning, causing Nagarjuna to reconsider the wedding plans. This news has worried Akkineni fans, who wonder if the marriage will proceed as planned.

Currently, it seems the December 4 wedding has been postponed. According to sources, Nagarjuna may be considering performing certain rituals and ceremonies to nullify any potential astrological issues before the marriage, ensuring stability for the couple. Once these are complete, a new wedding date is likely to be announced.
