Pragya Nagra (born December 14, 1998) is an Indian actress recognized for her work in Tamil and Malayalam cinema. She made her Tamil film debut in Varalaru Mukkiyam in 2022, followed by her Malayalam debut in Nadhikalil Sundari Yamuna in 2023.

Pragya Nagra Family & Education:

Pragya Nagra was born into a Punjabi family in Ambala, Haryana. She completed her schooling and college in Delhi before embarking on a modeling career. Her father, who served in the Indian armed forces, was stationed in Chennai for a period, leading to her frequent visits to the city. While studying engineering in Delhi, Nagra developed a passion for modeling and went on to appear in over 100 commercials. During her studies, she was also a member of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and initially aspired to join the armed forces. However, she ultimately chose to pursue a career in the film industry and relocated to Chennai.

Pragya Nagra Career:

Pragya Nagra starred as a Malayali girl opposite Jiiva in the 2022 Tamil film Varalaru Mukkiyam. Although the film received mixed reviews from critics and audiences, Nagra’s performance garnered attention in the industry. She is now making her way into Tollywood, with potential future opportunities in Bollywood as well.

In the Malayalam film Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna, a socio-political drama, Nagra portrayed a Kannada girl. Before transitioning into acting, she had a successful modeling career, appearing in numerous commercials. Her passion for acting grew during her frequent visits to Chennai, ultimately leading her to pursue a career in films.
