In Hyderabad, the staff of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) played a crucial role in assisting a pregnant woman to safely deliver a baby girl aboard an RTC bus in Bahadurpura on Friday.
The woman, Swetha Ratnam, boarded bus number 1Z from Musheerabad depot at Aramghar. During the journey, she began experiencing labor pains upon reaching Bahadurpura. The bus conductor, R Saroja, promptly alerted the driver and stopped the bus.
With the assistance of other female passengers on board, Saroja ensured Swetha safely delivered her baby girl right there on the bus. After the delivery, Swetha was promptly taken to the nearby Government Maternity Hospital for further care. Both mother and child are reported to be in good health.
TSRTC MD VC Sajjanar commended the female passengers and conductor Saroja for their role in ensuring a safe delivery. Doctors attributed the successful outcome to the timely response and assistance provided.
Sajjanar praised the RTC staff for their dedication to service, emphasizing their commitment not only to safely transporting passengers but also to responding to emergencies with compassion and efficiency.
