Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, continues to perform strong at the box office even after three weeks of release. Despite the controversy surrounding the stampede incident at the Sandhya Theatre and Allu Arjun’s bail hearing, the film has maintained its momentum.
As per Sacnilk.com’s latest update, Pushpa 2 crossed ₹1163 crore in total collections, with approximately ₹6.65 crore added on its fourth Monday. The film had an impressive week one gross of ₹725.8 crore, followed by ₹264.8 crore in week two, and ₹129.5 crore in week three.
The film’s success comes amid significant media attention after a tragic incident during the film’s premiere. On December 4, a 35-year-old woman, Revathi, died, and her eight-year-old son was injured during a stampede-like situation at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad as fans rushed to see Allu Arjun. Arjun was arrested on December 13 and released on interim bail the following day. The Pushpa 2 team has since contributed ₹2 crore to the victim’s family.
In a statement after his release, Arjun expressed his condolences, saying, “We are extremely sorry for the family, and I will personally be there to support them in any way. The incident was purely accidental. I was inside the theatre with my family when it happened outside, and it had no direct connection to me.”
Meanwhile, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy assured a delegation of veteran actors and directors that there would be no compromise on law and order in the state, emphasizing that this applies to everyone, including the film fraternity.
