The PAN-Indian blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule has taken the box office by storm, setting new benchmarks for Indian cinema. Starring Allu Arjun, the mass action entertainer amassed a staggering ₹800 crore worldwide during its opening weekend, marking the highest-ever debut for an Indian film.
The film’s performance in international markets has been equally impressive, raking in around ₹151 crore gross ($18 million) within four days. North America emerged as the biggest contributor, generating ₹80 crore gross, followed by GCC with ₹31 crore gross. The Hindi version has shown exceptional growth, surpassing the Telugu version in terms of collections.
With strong weekday bookings, Pushpa 2 is expected to rewrite more box office records in the coming days. Directed by Sukumar, the film features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and Fahadh Faasil as the primary antagonist, adding to the film’s star power and appeal.
