Beyond the highly anticipated release of Pushpa 2: The Rule and the excitement surrounding how director Sukumar will present Allu Arjun, there’s growing speculation about the film’s music. The decision to bring in additional music directors alongside Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) has sparked curiosity.
DSP, a longtime collaborator of Sukumar since the director’s debut with Arya, has composed the entire background score for one version of the film. However, Sukumar roped in other music directors, including Thaman, Sam CS, and Ajaneesh, to work on alternate versions of the background score. This marks the first time Sukumar has diversified his music team for a project.
Reports suggest that Thaman’s version didn’t meet Sukumar’s expectations, leading him to consider compositions by Sam CS and Ajaneesh. Sukumar will make the final call on which BGM version will feature in the movie, keeping fans in suspense.
During the pre-release event, Sukumar praised DSP’s work, particularly highlighting the climax BGM, which he said elevated the sequence to new heights. Adding to the intrigue, Sam CS recently shared his experience on Twitter, mentioning, “Working on those power-packed fight scenes & climax was an entirely different experience.”
As the release date approaches, fans are eagerly awaiting Sukumar’s decision on the final BGM, which is sure to play a key role in the cinematic impact of Pushpa 2.
