Pushpa 2 emerged as a massive box office blockbuster, grossing over 1800 crores worldwide. The film garnered immense popularity across the Indian film industry and developed a cult following. Following its theatrical release, it premiered on Netflix, where it was expected to trend globally for several weeks. However, in its fourth week (February 16 – February 23), the film failed to secure a spot in Netflix’s Top 10 Global Non-English films list.
Recent Indian films, such as Dhoom Dhaam starring Yami Gautam, and Daaku Maharaaj featuring Balakrishna, made it to the global Top 10 list during the same period. Dhoom Dhaam managed to sustain its position in its second week, while Daaku Maharaaj debuted in its first week. In India, Daaku Maharaaj ranked at the fourth position this week. The film also trended in the Top 10 across four countries—Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldives, and India.
Despite an impressive initial viewership on Netflix, Pushpa 2 struggled to maintain momentum. The streaming platform introduced English and other international language versions to expand its audience reach, but the film failed to generate record-breaking viewership when analyzed against statistical trends.
