The first trailer of Pushpa 2: The Rule was launched at a grand event in Patna, aiming to create excitement among northern audiences for this prestigious pan-India project. While the trailer resonated well with North American viewers, it received a mixed response in the South, particularly from Telugu audiences.
This lukewarm reaction is reflected in the advance bookings for USA premieres, which are performing on par with Devara, falling short of the expectations for a sequel of this scale. The Telugu buyers, who invested heavily in the film, are counting on the makers to amplify the buzz.
To address this, the makers have planned a strategic promotional push. The much-anticipated special song Kissik is set to release tomorrow night, followed by a second trailer next week. The new trailer is expected to feature high-octane action sequences and glimpses of the latest song, currently being shot.
Director Sukumar and the team are banking on this second trailer to create the much-needed hype and draw audiences back to Pushpa 2 ahead of its release.
