Pushpa 2: The Rule continues its global dominance as it crosses the ₹880 crore mark in worldwide box office collections. Released on December 5, 2024, the action-packed thriller, directed by Sukumar, has performed exceptionally well both in India and internationally. According to Sacnilk, the film has grossed ₹709.3 crore domestically and ₹171 crore overseas in just five days, bringing the total worldwide collection to ₹880.30 crore.
The film’s opening weekend was historic, as Pushpa 2 became the fastest Indian film to reach ₹800 crore, surpassing previous milestones. The makers proudly shared that the movie achieved ₹829 crore in its extended first weekend, setting a new record for the quickest film to reach that benchmark. Mythri Movies Makers celebrated the achievement with a post saying, “Pushpa 2: The Rule becomes the fastest Indian film to cross ₹800 crore worldwide gross in just four days.”
Notably, the Hindi dubbed version of the film made a major impact at the box office, grossing ₹86 crore on Sunday alone, marking the highest single-day collection for a Hindi film. The Hindi version’s total earnings reached ₹291 crore in just four days, making it the fastest Hindi film to reach this milestone.
With a record-breaking opening of ₹294 crore on Day 1, Pushpa 2 shattered the previous record for the highest opening in Indian cinema, which was held by SS Rajamouli’s RRR (₹223.5 crore). The film also outperformed Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan on Day 1, with its Hindi version earning ₹72 crore compared to Jawan’s ₹65 crore.
