After a record-breaking first week, Pushpa 2 continued its stellar performance into the second weekend, particularly excelling in the Hindi-speaking markets. The film posted impressive, record-breaking numbers during its second weekend.
In its opening week, the movie grossed a staggering ₹965 crore worldwide. Over the second weekend (four days), it added approximately ₹265 crore to its tally, bringing the total 11-day worldwide collection to ₹1,230 crore.
This makes Pushpa 2 the second-highest-grossing Indian film for this period, trailing only behind Baahubali 2 (for Indian language releases). In India alone, the film has grossed around ₹1,015 crore, while overseas collections stand at over ₹210 crore. However, compared to its domestic success, the overseas performance has been relatively weaker, particularly for the Telugu version.
While the film’s performance in India is comparable to that of Baahubali 2, the overseas collections are less than 60% of the latter. This underwhelming reception internationally has slightly dampened its global box-office dominance.
As weekdays begin, it will be interesting to see if Pushpa 2 can maintain its momentum and continue its march towards box office glory.
