The much-awaited sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, had a phenomenal opening day at the box office, setting an all-time record for first-day collections among Hindi films. However, the second day saw a noticeable dip in numbers across the Telugu states.
On its second day, the film collected a share of ₹5.7 crore in Andhra, ₹3 crore in Ceeded, and ₹9.7 crore in Nizam. The total share for day two in Telugu states stands at ₹18.4 crore, including GST. Despite the drop, the trade remains optimistic about a strong performance over the weekend.
In the first two days, Pushpa 2 has amassed a total share of ₹89.25 crore in the Telugu states. To achieve breakeven, the film needs to collect ₹250 crore (share, including GST). With a recovery rate of 36% so far, the movie requires a significant jump in collections over the weekend to stay on track.
All eyes are now on the upcoming days to see if Pushpa 2 can sustain its momentum and reach its box office target.
