About Pushpa 2: The Rule

Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media, Pushpa 2: The Rule continues the story from its 2021 predecessor, Pushpa: The Rise. The film features Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj, Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli, and Fahadh Faasil as Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. It has become the second highest-grossing Indian film ever, surpassing Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.

Tragic Incident During Promotion

A tragic incident occurred on December 4, 2024, a day before the film’s release, at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. During a promotional event with Allu Arjun and the film’s team, a large crowd gathered, leading to a deadly mishap. Revathi, a woman attending the event, tragically lost her life, and her child, Sri Teja, was critically injured.

Allu Arjun was arrested in connection with the incident but was later released on bail. In January, he visited Sri Teja at KIMS Hospital in Begumpet, Hyderabad, offering his support. To assist the victim’s family, Allu Arjun also extended financial aid, and his father, Allu Aravind, announced a ₹2 crore contribution to support them.
