Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, continues its phenomenal box office streak even in its third week. Despite controversies surrounding Allu Arjun linked to the Sandhya Theatre stampede tragedy on December 4, the film remains a blockbuster hit.
According to the latest report from Sacnilk.com, Pushpa 2 has collected an impressive ₹1089.85 crore at the Indian box office after 20 days of release. The movie, which premiered in theatres on December 5, raked in ₹14.25 crore on its third Tuesday alone, as per early estimates.
Amid the movie’s soaring success, Allu Arjun has faced public outrage following the Sandhya Theatre stampede during the Pushpa 2 premiere, which claimed one life and left others injured. Protesters vandalized the actor’s residence, demanding compensation for the victim’s family.
To address the tragedy, the producers of Pushpa 2, Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar, presented a ₹50 lakh cheque to the victim’s family in the presence of Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
Allu Arjun also appeared at the Chikkadpally Police Station on Tuesday to cooperate with the ongoing investigation regarding the incident.
