Actor Raj Tarun is facing legal issues after his ex-partner Lavanya filed an FIR with Narsingi police, accusing him of cheating her under the pretext of marriage. Lavanya, who claims to have been in a long-term relationship with Raj Tarun, alleges that he deceived her into believing they were married while carrying on an affair with his co-star Malvi Malhotra. DCP Srinivas Rao confirmed the registration of the case, stating that Lavanya initially filed a petition alleging threats from Raj, Malvi, Malvi’s brother, and their associates. Following further investigation, she formally lodged a complaint accusing Raj of fraudulent marriage claims.
In response, Lavanya asserted in an interview with TV9 that she and Raj had married, revealing it to their families three months later. She cited threats from Malvi and her brother as reasons for filing the complaint now, asserting that despite their marital status being known to their families, Raj had been attempting to distance himself since September. She emphasized that her motive was not financial gain, stating her relationship with Raj predated his career success. Regarding unrelated allegations involving a man named Mastan and a drug case earlier in the year, she maintained they were irrelevant to the current situation.
Contrarily, Raj Tarun refuted Lavanya’s claims in his own TV9 interview, denying any marriage and insisting their relationship ended in 2017 without physical intimacy thereafter. He pointed out Lavanya’s prior legal issues, including a case against Mastan and allegations of cheating against him. Raj clarified his stance on marriage, stating he had no plans to marry anyone else. He dismissed accusations of an affair with Malvi, highlighting the geographical distance between them as evidence against such claims.
Meanwhile, Malvi Malhotra addressed the press following her complaint against Lavanya at Filmnagar police station, asserting her innocence in the matter. She expressed distress over the damage to her reputation and emphasized her non-involvement in Raj Tarun’s personal life. Malvi refuted any relationship with Raj, stressing that their communication ceased eight months ago due to ongoing issues with Lavanya, who she accused of threatening her family and filing false complaints.
The situation remains contentious, with legal proceedings pending and each party maintaining conflicting narratives amidst public scrutiny.
