Actress Rashmika Mandanna has captivated audiences nationwide with her stellar performance in Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s blockbuster action drama, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The film has surpassed the ₹1000 crore milestone at the global box office, further cementing Rashmika’s popularity across the country.
Rashmika’s next big-screen appearance will be in Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s upcoming film, Sikandar. In a recent interview with a prominent Bollywood media outlet, Rashmika described the experience of working with a massive star like Salman Khan as “nerve-wracking.”
Sharing more about her role in Sikandar, Rashmika revealed that it’s her first commercial Bollywood film. “All my Bollywood movies have had performance-oriented screenplays, but this is the first time I’m actually stepping into the role of a quintessential heroine, so I’m really excited,” she said. Rashmika also emphasized her desire for versatility in her career, stating, “I don’t want to be typecast. I don’t want to be known only for performance-driven roles. I want to be part of full-fledged commercial cinema as well. I want people to know that they can count on me for that too.”
Directed by acclaimed Tamil filmmaker AR Murugadoss, Sikandar boasts an ensemble cast featuring Kajal Aggarwal, Suniel Shetty, and other notable actors. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is slated for a grand release during Eid next year, adding to the anticipation surrounding it.
