Vishal’s latest film, Rathnam, recently premiered in theaters but unfortunately failed to perform at the box office in both Tamil and Telugu markets. Directed by Hari, known for his flair for masala entertainers, Rathnam marked his third collaboration with Vishal following their previous hits Bharani and Pooja. Despite high expectations for a hat-trick success, the movie did not resonate with audiences.
Critics gave Rathnam mixed reviews, contributing to its underwhelming performance. However, the film is gearing up for its OTT release on May 24. Prime Video has secured the post-theatrical streaming rights for this action drama, though an official announcement from the platform is still pending.
The movie features Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead, with Samuthirakani, Yogibabu, and Gautham Vasudev Menon in pivotal roles. Rathnam is produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam under the banners of Zee Studios and Stonebench Films, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
