Lady Powerstar Sai Pallavi’s immense popularity among Telugu audiences needs no special introduction. She connected deeply with Telugu viewers through her performance in Fidaa, captivating everyone with her beauty, acting, and dance. Sai Pallavi carefully chooses roles that prioritize meaningful content and strong performances, which has earned her a huge fan following. Her recent film, Amaran, showcased her outstanding and natural acting skills, leaving audiences moved to tears.
In a recent interview, Sai Pallavi opened up about the mental stress she endured on the set of a particular movie. Surprisingly, she revealed that she broke down in tears during the shoot. Let’s dive into the reasons behind it.
The film in question is Shyam Singha Roy, released in December 2021, where she starred alongside Natural Star Nani. Set against a Kolkata backdrop, this movie became a hit, receiving praise for the lead pair’s performances. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Shyam Singha Roy demanded intense and night-long shoots, which took a toll on Sai Pallavi.
In her interview celebrating the success of Amaran, Sai Pallavi spoke about the mental and physical stress she experienced during the shoot. She shared, “I was constantly wishing for even just one day of rest. After each day’s shoot, I’d feel so relieved. Almost all my scenes were night shoots, which was tough for me as I am not used to staying up all night. I struggle to stay awake at night, and during the day, I can’t sleep. My condition became challenging as there were times when we’d shoot until dawn. For about a month, this was my routine. Due to the packed schedule, I would work on Shyam Singha Roy at night and then head to another movie set in the morning.”
She recalled a particular night when she was shooting, and her sister came to visit her on set. “While talking to her, I suddenly broke down in tears, sharing how I wished I could get just one day off to rest. She immediately went to the producer and said, ‘My sister is crying; please give her at least one day off.’ The producer came to me right away and assured me, ‘Take not just one day, but ten days off if needed. Return to the set only when you’re ready,’” she recounted.
Grateful for this understanding, Sai Pallavi fondly remembered those challenging yet memorable days.
