Salaar faces a significant setback in Non-Telugu Southern states, failing to sustain its initial success. While the film demonstrated a strong performance in the Telugu states over the weekend, it struggled to maintain the same momentum in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
Despite a promising opening in these regions, Salaar witnessed a noticeable decline in box office numbers with each passing day. Even during the holiday weekend, the film experienced a sharp drop, and by the 1st working day (day 5), it encountered a considerable downturn in these three key markets.
The movie’s performance indicates a recovery rate of less than 50% of Salaar’s valued business in all states, making it challenging for the film to regain momentum moving forward. This marks a significant disappointment for Prabhas, particularly in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, where his films have struggled since the blockbuster success of Baahubali 2.
