The 2024 Hurun India Rich List reveals that India now boasts 1,539 individuals with a net worth exceeding ₹1,000 crore, marking an increase of 220 people compared to last year. The manufacturing sector has been a significant contributor to this growth, with many entrepreneurs reaping substantial profits. Leading the list is Gautam Adani and his family, with a staggering net worth of ₹11.6 trillion. While most of India’s billionaires reside in Mumbai, they represent 134 different cities across the country. The founder of Hurun India attributes this growth to the relentless determination of Indian entrepreneurs.
