Shruti Haasan celebrated her 39th birthday on January 28, and in a past interview with Bollywood Hungama, she shared her eating habits, revealing a balanced approach to food with a few indulgences. Despite admitting that skipping breakfast is a bad habit, the actor enjoys gluten-free toast or cereal. While she loves green juices, she doesn’t have them as often as she would like. For lunch, Shruti prefers light dishes like salads and sandwiches, with a preference for gluten-free rotis due to her intolerance. Though she enjoys mini snacks, mostly nuts, and a light dinner, she sometimes ends up eating a heavier meal if she missed breakfast.
Shruti’s cheat day favorite is rice, particularly sambar sadam (sambhar rice) paired with a potato curry. While she’s a non-vegetarian, Shruti doesn’t eat much meat. She used to love seafood but developed an allergy to shellfish, a major disappointment. Potatoes are her go-to vegetable, and she enjoys both cooked and raw veggies, especially those featured in Indian cuisine.
Shruti is a fan of ghee and coconut oil, with a strong preference for the latter. Although she doesn’t drink coffee, tea is her go-to beverage, particularly English breakfast and fruit-flavored teas, and she enjoys around two to three cups a day. Her sweet tooth is satisfied by ice cream, a treat she loves. Shruti’s food choices reflect her preference for nutritious, plant-based meals with the occasional indulgence, giving fans a peek into her healthy yet flavorful lifestyle.
