Actor Siddharth’s recent film “Chithha” (known as “Chinna” in Telugu) has garnered praise from both audiences and critics, marking a significant success in his career. However, it was his indirect dig at Ranbir Kapoor’s “Animal” during an award function that has now gone viral.
Siddharth’s remarks have stirred up controversy, as he stated, “No women told director Arun or me that they couldn’t watch ‘Chithha’ or that it was disturbing. But many men told us they couldn’t watch ‘Chithha’ as it would be disturbing. The same men will watch ‘Mirugam’ (‘Animal’), but ‘Chithha’ is more disturbing for them.”
Continuing on, Siddharth remarked, “It’s not disturbance. It is shame and guilt. I am sure such attitude will change soon.” His comments have elicited mixed reactions from netizens, with supporters of “Animal” criticizing the actor, while those who didn’t favor Ranbir Kapoor’s film are rallying behind Siddharth.
