Singham Again Breaks Records with ₹43.5 Crore Diwali Debut, Ajay Devgn’s Biggest Opening Yet!

Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again has burst onto the box office scene with an explosive ₹43.50 crore opening, as per Sacnilk reports, marking the biggest debut of Ajay Devgn’s career. This impressive figure outshines the first-day earnings of Singham Returns (₹32.09 crore in 2014), making Singham Again a new career-high for Devgn. Released during the Diwali festivities, the film competes with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, both of which have brought a festive boom to the box office.

Singam Again adds fresh energy to Shetty’s celebrated cop universe with Deepika Padukone as Shakti Shetty and Tiger Shroff as Satya, while Salman Khan’s cameo as Chulbul Pandey and Arjun Kapoor’s role as the antagonist bring extra excitement. The film also reunites Ajay Devgn with Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar, a trio that continues to draw in audiences.

High occupancy rates reflect the film’s widespread appeal, with Mumbai leading at 73.50% across 1,101 screenings, followed by Ahmedabad’s 76.25% for 751 shows. NCR recorded a solid 63.00% across 1,310 shows, and Jaipur topped the charts at 85.25% occupancy for 165 screenings. Other cities like Chennai (74.25% for 104 shows) and Lucknow (77.50% for 228 shows) also contributed strong turnouts, while Bengaluru registered 58.00% across 369 screenings.

Despite a ban in Saudi Arabia due to concerns over religious content, Singham Again has captivated Indian audiences, with many comparing Shetty’s ambitious, Ramayana-inspired storyline to a “Desi Avengers” for its intensity and scope.

Ajay Devgn expressed heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming response, saying, “It’s always a special feeling when the audience showers love on a project we put our heart into.” The record-breaking opening underscores the enduring appeal of Shetty’s cop universe and Devgn’s powerful performance.

With Singham Again currently leading the Diwali box office battle against Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, industry experts are eager to track the success of these two blockbusters in the coming days. Their combined impact has undoubtedly set the tone for a prosperous Diwali season at the movies.
