The Tamil blockbuster Amaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, continues its impressive box office run, becoming one of the most successful Tamil films of the year. The movie has amassed ₹168.70 crore nett across all languages in just 14 days, with Tamil audiences contributing ₹135.85 crore and Telugu viewers adding ₹29.35 crore. On November 13, Amaran grossed an additional ₹4.25 crore, solidifying its widespread appeal.
Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Amaran was initially slated for a Netflix release 28 days post-theatrical debut. However, due to its strong performance, Netflix has postponed its streaming premiere to December 5, giving the movie an extended theatrical window. Industry expert Sreedhar Pillai highlighted this rare OTT delay for a Tamil film on X (formerly Twitter), calling it a testament to the film’s continued demand.

Amaran has grossed ₹73.75 crore internationally, with domestic collections reaching ₹189.25 crore, totaling a remarkable ₹263 crore worldwide. The film’s popularity is soaring overseas as well, where Sivakarthikeyan achieved his first-ever million-dollar milestone.
