Sivakarthikeyan’s latest blockbuster, Amaran, is creating a sensation at the box office. The film, a biographical drama based on the life and bravery of Indian Army martyr Major Mukund Varadarajan, stars Sai Pallavi as the female lead. Already hailed as the highest-grossing film in Sivakarthikeyan’s career, Amaran continues to dominate theaters.
Despite expectations that Amaran would slow down following the release of Suriya’s Kanguva, negative reviews for Kanguva have kept Amaran in the spotlight as the top choice for moviegoers. In its third weekend, the film maintained strong occupancy rates and is now poised to surpass the Rs. 300 crore gross mark—an impressive feat achieved by only a select few Tamil heroes.
The movie has also found success in the Telugu market. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and jointly produced by Kamal Haasan, R. Mahendran, and Vivek Krishnan, Amaran features a stirring soundtrack by GV Prakash Kumar.
