Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi series, recently hit back at veteran actor Mukesh Khanna, known for his iconic role as Shaktimaan, after he criticized her father, Shatrughan Sinha.
The controversy began from a 2019 episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), where Sonakshi failed to answer a question related to the Ramayana. Mukesh Khanna reportedly blamed Shatrughan Sinha for not teaching his daughter about the epic.
In her response, Sonakshi took to Instagram to express her disappointment, noting that two other contestants on the show also failed to answer the question, but Khanna chose to single her out. She highlighted that forgetting such details was a common human tendency and suggested that Khanna overlooked the lessons of forgiveness and compassion exemplified by Lord Ram.
Sonakshi emphasized that if Lord Ram could forgive figures like Manthara, Kaikeyi, and even Ravan, Khanna should let go of this trivial issue. While she made it clear that she didn’t seek his forgiveness, she urged him to stop repeatedly bringing up the incident to gain attention at her family’s expense.
Addressing Khanna’s comments on her values and upbringing, Sonakshi explained that the respect she showed in her response was a reflection of the values instilled by her father. The exchange has sparked reactions online, with netizens now eagerly waiting for Mukesh Khanna’s response to Sonakshi’s remarks.
