Srikanth Odela on Chiranjeevi’s Upcoming Film: “You Won’t See the Vintage Megastar”

Date:

Megastar Chiranjeevi has officially announced an exciting new collaboration with Dasara director Srikanth Odela, fulfilling the long-held dream of fans to see him work with a new-age filmmaker. Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri revealed that the upcoming movie will be set against a rich period backdrop, sparking anticipation among cinephiles.

In a recent interview, Srikanth Odela expressed his excitement about the project, saying, “I grew up watching Chiranjeevi Garu’s films. It’s surreal to think I’ll be directing him. This film will offer something fresh—you won’t see the vintage Megastar but rather an age-appropriate and unique role that fits today’s sensibilities. My uncle only took me to watch Chiranjeevi Garu’s films, and it’s because of him that I developed a passion for cinema.”

He further shared insights into their collaboration: “While I am a fan, that ends the moment Chiranjeevi Garu steps out of his caravan. Once he’s on set, he transforms into a character in my film. The script was finalized within 48 hours, and Chiranjeevi Garu’s energy and enthusiasm were incredibly inspiring. It felt like a dream come true throughout the process.”

Currently wrapping up The Paradise with Nani, Srikanth Odela is set to begin work on this much-awaited project soon. With a period setting and an unconventional portrayal of Chiranjeevi, the film promises to be a refreshing addition to the Megastar’s illustrious career.
