After the phenomenal success of Pushpa: The Rise and Pushpa: The Rule, director Sukumar is set to take a well-deserved break. The ace filmmaker dedicated six years to the Pushpa franchise, which catapulted him to the top tier of Indian cinema. His masterful storytelling and direction turned Pushpa into a blockbuster, earning him nationwide acclaim.
Sukumar has already announced his next collaboration with Ram Charan, marking their second project together after the industry hit Rangasthalam (2018). However, the project will not begin anytime soon. Ram Charan is currently committed to working with director Buchi Babu Sana throughout 2025.
Reports suggest that Sukumar will use this period to take an extended vacation and spend quality time with his family. Production on the Ram Charan-Sukumar film is expected to commence in the latter half of 2025, with the shoot likely to begin in 2026.
This much-awaited collaboration has already sparked excitement among fans, as Rangasthalam was a monumental success. The break will undoubtedly give Sukumar the creative rejuvenation he needs before embarking on his next cinematic journey.
