In an era where Bollywood weddings often turn into lavish spectacles, actress Taapsee Pannu chose a more understated approach with a small, intimate ceremony. On March 23, 2024, she married Danish badminton player Mathias Boe in Udaipur, Rajasthan, surrounded by family and close friends. After dating for 10 years, Taapsee and Mathias blended Sikh and Christian rituals to honor their diverse backgrounds. Among the attendees were Taapsee’s sister Shagun Pannu, her co-star Pavail Gulati from “Thappad,” writer Kanika Dhillon, and close friend Anurag Kashyap.
In an interview, Taapsee shared that only 100-125 guests attended the wedding, including friends and family from Denmark and India. She described the event as a “very private and personal moment,” explaining that she chose to invite only those they knew directly. Addressing social media comments questioning Mathias Boe’s identity, Taapsee expressed disappointment at the lack of recognition for his achievements in badminton. She emphasized his significant contributions to the sport, particularly in advancing men’s doubles badminton on a global scale
